Seven days into my fill-in-the-blanks journal page experiment and I've taken to having a notebook handy at all times. My last thoughts at night and first ones in the morning are of new questions to ask and new lists to make. Creating these journal pages have been a fantastic exercise. I guess, in a way, this is what the inside of my head looks like . . . some thoughts are handwritten and some are in type; some are neatly contained in boxes and some aren't; some are practical, while others are wishful or nostalgic.
I've also been learning quite a bit as I go along. Like layout. Thus far, I've mainly been dividing the pages into rough thirds, but I'd like to learn much more about layout. Also, I've discovered that photographing a black and white page is deceptively difficult. It always turns out grey and I'm not entirely sure how to convince the camera to capture with its eye what I see with my own.
But enough of that! These things will sort themselves out in due course.
Page 7 is ready to go and it includes the usual to-do list variation . . .
and a chance to pat yourself on the back . . .
The full page looks like this:
You can download page 7 here and I hope you enjoy filling in the blanks as much as I've enjoyed making them.
That's it for this week, but join me back here on Monday for page 8! In the meantime, I'd love to hear your thoughts so far. Have you been learning a little about yourself too as you work through each page?
